Farewell, K.P.

Our Field Producer K.P. Whaley recently left us for an exciting new position at Wisconsin Public Radio. He is now producing the long-running, well-reveared live call-in "Kathleen Dunn Show". For more information on the show and to listen to recent episodes, visit the show's website.

Here's a photo from our recent send-off dinner with K.P. on the patio at Willie's Dunn's in Ludlow.

Getting there....

After 2 years of planning & building, we are now moved-in and oeprating in the new space in the Ludlow Community Center complex. We still have plenty of work cut out for us (completing the TV & peformance studio, plus Phase 2 + 3 construction), but we have come a long way!

If you are around Ludlow, stop by and take the tour. 37C Main St. (Ludlow Community Center), next to Black River Good Neighbors. We are open Mon - Thurs 10am - 6pm and Fridays 9 - 4. Or call ahead - 228-8808.

Prepping for Move-in

We have been spending the last couple of weeks prepping the new space for our move. Thanks to hitting our fundraising goal of $15,000, we were able to complete the final tasks before occupying the new media facility. First, we hung the ductwork and cabling for the AV, phone, and ethernet drops. Then, our volunteer work crew cleaned and sealed the concrete floors.

Thanks everyone!

$15,000 Goal Reached!

We are pleased to report that we have reached our immediate fundraising goal of $15,000, thanks to a strong showing of support from the local community. The funds have enabled us to complete the Phase 1 build-out in the new facility. We are now in the final stages of that build-out, and will be moving in soon. This first phase is the largest , and by far the most costly, of the 3 construction phases. Thank you to all who have contributed.

Moving Forward!

This week the painting of the studio is being completed. Pictured above, the guys from Painting n' More put the final coat of black on the TV / preformance studio walls.

Thanks to an outpouring of community support in recent weeks, we are pleased to report that we have met the $7500 matching challenge. This means that we have met the immediate goal of $15,000, to complete the work on the studio and prepare the rest of the facility for moving in. We will be moving in and beginning operations in the news space in just a few short weeks.

Thank you all!
