More About Membership

We ask that any individual or organization who utilizes our services become a member. "Utlizing our services" means submitting content to run on our channels, producing programming in or out of our studio, using our equipment, or taking a training workshop. Basically if you use us, you must first become a member.

What does being a member mean? Memerbships are first and foremost a way for us to track the allocation of our resources and for our own record keeping. LPCTV is regulated by the Public Service Board and is obligated to report each year on various activities and resource allocation. memberships make this process easier, by formalizing where are services are going.

Secondly, memberships also provide us with  a much-needed revenue stream. We ask that individuals pay annual dues of $25 each and organizations pay annual dues of $50. As a 501 c3 non profit organization, dues paid to LPCTV are considered donations. Donations to LPCTV are tax exempt. Anyone signing up as a member will promptly receive a donation receipt upon submitting their dues payment.

Memberships are run on an annual basis, from July - June, coinciding with LPCTV's fiscal year and reporting requirements. Each July we will ask current members to renew and also send out invitations to prospective members.
