Bruce Perry: The Guy Behind the Camera

Are you enjoying watching coverage of the Black River High School basketball games this season? Have you noticed that every single game (with very few exceptions)- both boys nad girls, both home and away - have been broadcast on channel 8? You have 1 man to thank, and that's Bruce Perry of Chester. Bruce is known to many in BRHS Athletics as a longtime supporter of the soccer and basketball programs. This past Fall, Bruce volunteered to videotape nearly all regular and post season boys soccer games.

Fast-forward to this winter...Bruce is now volunteering, around the clock (OK, that might be a stretch...but he IS at it 3 - 4 nights a week), traveling on the team bus to places like Wilmington, Proctor, Rochester, West Rutland...and delivering the tapes to us at LPCTV by the next morning so we can get the games on the air in a timely manner. Very impressive. In my 5+ years here at the station, I have not see this level of volunteer commitment from anyone else. Bruce is in a league of his own.
