Community Announcements

General guidelines for bulletin board announcements:

1) announcements must be non-commercial- no selling of products, services, direct fundraisingg; and please refrain from including pricing info (if there is a price for an event, simply include contact info. for tickets, reservations, etc.)

2) announcements must be received at least 2 weeks in advance of an event

2) announcements must present applicable information for the communities of Ludlow, Plymouth, Cavendish, or Mount Holly (this can include regional / statewide interest)

4) always include contact information (i.e. "For more info. contact...")

5) use large serif fonts (tahoma, arial, etc.)

6) only include most basic info (what, where, when, and contact info) - we cannot fit all of the specifics on a TV screen

General guidelines for e-mailing your own designs:

1) send files as .jpg or .htm

2) use at least 30-point font for all text

3) contrast is key: use dark backgrounds with light fonts or vice-versa

4) DO NOT "cram" info. onto a single page & use enough spacing- only list the pertinent info. - the what's, where's, when's, and who's (as well as contact info.)

5) if there is enough open space, use high-quality graphic images where possible (photos, logos, clip art)

6) if there is enough space, leave the lower-third portion of the screen open - this allows us to add the weather information & various other info. along the bottom of the screen
